Laptops and Other Technology Items for Checkout

When instructors are not using the Mobile Computer Lab, students may check out the laptops for use. Laptops are checked out through the Service Desk. To checkout a laptop, students must have a current UHSL student ID. The ID is maintained on file while the student has the laptop and will be returned when the laptop is turned in.

Other items are available for checkout with the laptops including a mouse and a battery adaptor.

To keep the batteries maximally charged, the laptops are not available 1 hour prior to their scheduled use by a class or 1 hour after their use by a class.

In addition to the laptops, other items can be checked out for use by students. These items are checked out through the Service Desk and include mice, 802.11b (Wi-Fi) wireless network interface cards (NIC's), network cables, headphones, a digital camera, digital camcorder, and USB extender cable. A current UHSL student ID is required to check out these items.
