UH System at Sugar Land is located on 250 acres in Sugar Land, Texas, on the southwest side of Houston. UHSSL currently houses the Albert and Mamie George Building, three modular units, and a maintenance facility.
Campus Safety
The UHSSL Security Office is located on the first floor of the George Building in room 100. Security can be contacted at slsecurity@uh.edu and at 281-275-3302.
UH System at Sugar Land (UHSSL) works closely with the University of Houston Department of Public Safety (UHDPS) to maintain a safe environment. It is important that students, faculty, and staff take an active role in safety on campus by being security conscious at all times and by reporting suspicious persons or situations immediately.
Classrooms are equipped with phones that can be used to reach the security officer on duty or to call 911 for emergencies.
Children on Campus
UH System at Sugar Land's buildings and grounds were designed with adults in mind. Unattended children are not allowed on campus. Children brought to campus must be supervised by an adult at all times. Faculty permission must be obtained prior to bringing a child to class.
Parking
Currently there are no parking charges on the UHSSL campus. Two lots are available on a first come, first-served basis. The lots also serve as park and ride locations for commuters using the Trek Express bus service.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited within all UHSSL buildings and in all university owned vehicles. Smoking on patio areas must be at least 12 feet from any entrance.
