Campus Safety
The Uh System at Sugar Land (UHSSL) Security Office is located on the first floor of the George Building in room 100. Security can be contacted at slsecurity@uh.edu and at 281.275.3302.
UHSSL works closely with the University of Houston Department of Public Safety (UHDPS) to maintain a safe environment. It is important that students, faculty, and staff take an active role in safety on campus by being security conscious at all times and by reporting suspicious persons or situations immediately.
Classrooms are equipped with phones that can be used to reach the security officer on duty or to call 911 for emergencies.
Each October, UHSSL makes the campus safety report available in the Security Office, Room 100 for all interested parties. More information on campus safety can be found at the UH Police Department website. The UHSSL campus crime and security report, as well as campus reports for UHV and UHSCR, can be found here.
Children on Campus
The UH System at Sugar Land buildings and grounds have been designed with adults in mind. Unattended children are not allowed on campus. Children brought to campus must be supervised by an adult at all times. Faculty permission must be obtained prior to bringing a child 17 or under to class.
