Computer Accounts
To access the computers, faculty must have a home university computer account. Faculty may log on to their respective domains and use their computer account while at the Sugar Land campus. If you need assistance in logging on to your home university computer account, please call the technical staff.
For faculty that simply need access to a local computer and the Internet, there is a special use account that is available. The account's username and password are posted at each carrel and cubicle in the work areas. This special use account does not provide storage space nor will any customized settings be saved. If these services are required, faculty will have to use their home university computer account.
Faculty may also have a 60 day temporary local account with UHS Sugar Land if their home university computer account has not been created. If you want a 60 day temporary account, you can apply online. There is a 24 hour processing period (not including weekends or holidays) to create a temporary local computer account.

Email
Faculty can check their e-mail from UHS Sugar Land. All of the universities have a web-based interface so faculty can access their e-mail over the Internet. Most faculty can also log directly into their account and use the Microsoft Outlook program to access their e-mail. If you are not sure how to access your e-mail from the Sugar Land campus, talk to the Sugar Land technical staff to get assistance.
